Research fields
Her research activity focuses on the development of experimental studies from a behavioural approach on two main topics: punishment and taxation.
Concerning the first topic, the aim is to provide an interdisciplinary analysis of the phenomenon through three main researches that create an ordered and coherent path, which starts from the neurological and evolutionary origins of our justice sense, analyses sanctions as a part of these informal norms (the latter are themselves part of the culture of a given community) and arrives as far as the formal codification of these sanctions, namely the possibility of specific laws (for example ways in order to reduce criminal behaviours).
Concerning the second topic, the aim is to provide a cross-country study in order to detect what kind of welfare state citizens of different countries prefer and which are the mechanisms that can drive people to tax compliance.
All the studies are implemented using the experimental methodology.
