Giulia Andrighetto is researcher at the EUI Political and Social Sciences Department and also at the Institute of Cognitive Sciences and Technologies (ISTC-CNR), Rome. She received her Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” (Rome, Italy), in 2007. She has been Max Weber Fellow at the European University Institute, Florence, in 2010-2011, and visiting fellow at the Nuffield College in Oxford (2012), Tilburg University (2012), Workshop in Political Theory & Policy Analysis at Indiana University (2008) and University of Paris 7 (2006).
Her research activity aims to develop interdisciplinary studies in the cognitive and social fields. Her main research interest is in developing a socio and cognitive theory of the dynamics of norms. She uses cognitive modelling, agent-based simulations and experiments in the lab to validate her hypotheses.
